The internet has literally thousands of web sites and other sources of informat= ion devoted to digital photography. I have included a very few of my favorite s= ites on this page. As my classes have begun to expand into the basics of video editing, the list has grown. This list will grow as time goes on. I have to warn you though. It is very easy to spend all of your available time just researching and reading about digital photography, that you have little time left over for practicing what you learn.

User Forums and Discussion Groups

User forums or discussion groups are a source of some of the best information fo= und on the internet and often provide a rapid reply from other users and expert= s to questions.

I. Adobe’s Photos= hop Elements Forums

If you want to ask a question, you need to register for free by providing an email address. However, you can browse and search the forum without registering.

II. Yahoo also has many = User Groups devoted to digital photography. They also have a similar registratio= n to those sponsored by Adobe. In addition, they provide the capability for user= s to post photographs etc to illustrate their problems and techniques, which add= to the value of the discussions.

I. Microsoft Movie Maker – Movie Maker comes with Windows XP and Vista. This program is used in the “P= rojects” class. I. Color Management

Currently, none of my courses really cover col= or management. Most of us get drug into color management when our printed imag= es we worked so hard to perfect on our computer screens do not look the same w= hen printed. Color management can be confusing. II. Camera Reviews and M= ore

The following two sites are devoted to reviewi= ng digital cameras and other digital photography equipment. But, their reviews= are so detailed and richly illustrated, they can also be a big help in learning= how to use your camera. You would be hard pressed finding a digital camera intr= oduced in the last five or six years that is not reviewed on one of these sites.
